Curves Members to Receive Special Deal on a 70-Calorie Snack
United States of America (Press Release) April 14, 2009 --
The 100-calorie food craze has been all the rage and companies are introducing 90, 80, 70 and even 60 calorie food products to grocery shelves. With just 70 calories per serving, Eggland's Best (EB) eggs offer a great calorie-conscious food to help you stay satisfied throughout the day.
"While many low-cal products help with portion control, some are filled with sugar, salt, enriched white flour, and other non-nutritious ingredients," said Manette Richardson, registered dietitian for Eggland's Best. "It's important that when choosing foods for breakfast, lunch and in between meals, you should choose functional foods that contain vitamins and minerals, like apples or fresh veggies, calcium-enriched yogurt or eggs, such as Eggland's Best."
For the calorie-conscious crowd, Eggland’s Best is offering a special deal for members of Curves, the national fitness and weight-loss facility for women. Starting in May, members can pick up a Curves Coupon Booklet that will feature an Eggland’s Best coupon good for $0.50 to help them stick to their healthy diets and routines.
Compared to ordinary eggs, EB eggs contain 25 percent less saturated fat, 19 percent less cholesterol (175 mg vs. 215 mg) and provide ten times more vitamin E. Plus EB eggs contain 40 percent of a person’s daily requirement of iodine and three times more omega-3 than an ordinary egg. Also, EB eggs are the recipients of many awards including The American Masters of Taste, receiving the goldmedal for superior taste, appearance, and freshness.
“A great tip if you are short on time is to hard boil EB eggs the night before for a quick breakfast or on-the-go snack option,” added Richardson.
