Ingredients
Cake:
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 small box (3 oz.) instant vanilla pudding
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup canola oil
- 4 Eggland's Best eggs
- 2 tablespoons poppy seeds
- 2 tablespoons grated orange rind
Glaze:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 3/4 cup confectioner's sugar
Preparation
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F; coat bundt pan with non-stick cooking spra.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl and mix with a hand mixer, or using a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, for 3 minutes.
Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 50 minutes, or until tester inserted in the middle comes out clean.
When cake is cooled, prepare glaze. Melt butter in microwave set on low, or over low heat on your stovetop.
Add milk and brown sugar into melted butter and whisk until combined and sugar is melted.
Add powdered sugar into brown sugar mixture and continue to whisk until combined and pour over cake.
Note: you can use more or less powdered sugar, depending on how thin or thick of a consistency you prefer the glaze.

@Ann Jana: I actually like how easy this recipe is because it uses a mix! I look forward to trying it; the ingredients sound delicious.

How about you! When making a Cake or Cookies & other recipes do you not want a recipe? When I want a recipe it is to make something from my kitchen. Not a mix... Complaint with this is it's a mix... don't do a Frankenstein kitchen thing Booooo on this ~

I think a yellow cake recipe would be easy enough to find then just sub the oj for the milk and add the poppy seeds, pudding mix (or look up a recipe for this as well), and orange rind.. easy enough to adapt, but I think it's a good jumping off point for ease of use or for ideas to adapt other recipes.. overall, I love it and am gonna try it... both from "Scratch" scratch and with the easy mix methods... best to all.. ;) me
