Breakfast Pizza with Hash Browns and Sausage

This savory breakfast pizza also makes a great breakfast-for-dinner dish!

Ingredients

  • 5 Eggland's Best Eggs
  • 1 9-inch frozen pie crust
  • 1 lb. sausage
  • 1 cup frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp. grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 375F
  • Prepare frozen pie crust.  If crust does not come in a tin, place crust gently in metal or glass pie dish.  If crust does come in tin, you may want to place the crust on a baking sheet for extra support.
  • Cut sausage into small chunks.  Brown in frying pan over medium heat.  Drain and place evenly in pie crust.
  • Spread thawed hash browns over sausage evenly.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over hash browns.  Set aside.
  • In a medium bowl, beat together eggs, milk and pepper until well blended.  Pour evenly into pie crust, covering sausage and hash browns.
  • Sprinkle parmesan cheese evenly over egg mixture.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until slightly puffed in the middle and a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.

Notes and Suggestions

You can also try this recipe with turkey or chicken sausage, and different varieties of shredded cheese.
