You forgot to state how long the eggs shold be boiled!

Hi, Dawn. This recipe was meant for Eggland's Best hard cooked eggs, but you can certainly boil them up yourself. Bring eggs to room temperature then place the eggs in room temperature water; bring to a boil then turn down to a low boil for 12 minutes. Quickly chill the eggs in ice cold water before peeling. We hope you enjoy the recipe.

I love the hard cooked eggs. I hate peeling eggs and this is the PERFECT solution. No one knows the difference. :)

What I would like to know is what does the date on the package mean? Is is a use by date or sell by date? It does not say.

  • Lainie Fiszer, Eggland's Best 30 Nov, 11:43 AM

Hi, Laurie. Thanks for your question. Here is your answer: It is an expiration date, but it allows for 7 days of use time after the date if you open the package on the exp date. If the date is Dec 1, then you have until Dec 8 to use them. If the date is Dec 1 and you open them on Dec 7, then they still must be used by Dec 8. Enjoy the hard cooked eggs!
