20 SEMI-FINALISTS ANNOUNCED IN THE FIRST-EVER EGGLAND'S BEST "YOUR BEST RECIPE" CONTEST

Contest Allows Consumers to Take a Crack at Winning the $10,000 Grand Prize

September 20, 2012 (Cedar Knolls, NJ)- After reviewing and scoring thousands of recipe entries, Eggland's Best has selected the 20 Semi-Finalists to compete for the $10,000 Grand Prize in the first-ever Eggland's Best "Your Best Recipe" Contest. moreThe Semi-Finalists represent the top five entries in each of the four recipe categories: Breakfast, Appetizer, Main Course and Dessert.

Now through September 30, 2012, consumers can vote for their favorite recipe on the Eggland's Best website (https://www.egglandsbest.com/promotions/) and the Eggland's Best "Your Best Recipe" Contest Facebook tab. Consumer voting accounts for 10 percent of each at-home chef's final score.

In addition to the online consumer voting, each Semi-Finalists' recipe will be evaluated by the Eggland's Best "Your Best Recipe Contest" judges: chef and cookbook author Candice Kumai, and nationally recognized dietitian and author, Elizabeth Ward, MS, RD. Chef Candice and Elizabeth Ward will taste and score each Semi-Finalist recipe based on the criteria of:

  • Taste
  • Presentation
  • Creativity

The $10,000 Grand Prize winner will be announced on Monday, November 12, 2012, along with the four category winners who will each be awarded a $1,000 prize.
