EB Baking Essentials: What to Bake for Christmas 2019

I have rounded up some of my "MUST MAKES" for creating an epic Christmas cookie tin, as well as tips on how to select which recipes should be the stars of the show this Christmas! - Anjelica Martino

Let's just stop for a second and acknowledge the amazing, wonderful, deliciousness that are holiday cookies!?

For me, when selecting which holiday cookies to bake I often find that year after year there are a few that always make the list! They usually are cookies that go hand in hand with Christmas and I only make once a year.

When the beginning of December rolls around I always find myself utilizing a specific strategy that helps me to decide which cookies I am going to choose to make. At the end of the day, it all comes down to making sure I have a super well-rounded cookie tin-to do this the cookies have to be different from one another! Color, size, shape, flavor, and texture are all things I consider when making these. Below, I have put together what I will be baking this year!

I’ve found that the most satisfying selection for my personal taste includes the following:

1. GINGERBREAD CUTOUT COOKIES WITH PEPPERMINT ICING

2. RAINBOW COOKIES

3. ANISE SUGAR COOKIES

4. SNOW-COVERED MERINGUE WREATHS

5. GOOEY BUTTER COOKIES

6. ALMOND COOKIES

7. HOT CHOCOLATE CUP COOKIES

8. CARDAMOM SUGAR SHORTBREAD STAR COOKIES

9. GREAT GRANDPA MARTINO'S STRUFFOLI

10. TURRON DE NAVIDAD
