Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a Dutch oven or medium-sized baking dish, mix together the onion, beans, mustard, syrup, brown sugar, ketchup, and balsamic vinegar.
Top with bacon pieces and bake, covered for 25 minutes.
Remove beans from the oven and carefully crack eggs over the beans.
Make for an addition 25 minutes, uncovered until the egg whites are completely set.
