French Toast

2 Eggland's Best Large Eggs

2/3 cup milk of choice

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons butter

6 slices of gluten-free bread

Cranberry Compote

2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/3 cup orange juice

1 cinnamon stick

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the eggs, milk, vanilla, and spices.
  2. Whisk well.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the butter and allow the butter to melt.
  4. Dip the slices of bread into the french toast batter, ensuring all sides are well coated.
  5. Place the bread slice into the skillet and cook for 3-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  6. Meanwhile, make the compote by adding all of the compote ingredients to a small saucepan over medium heat.
