Ingredients

Sweet Potato Pie

  • 2 cooked sweet potato (canned drained optional)
  • 2 cups Nevada's fresh milk
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 Egglands Best eggs (large)
  • 1 stick Nevada's melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 9 inch uncooked pie crust

Topping

  • 1 cup fresh Nevada's heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Preheat over to 350 degrees F.

In a large mixing bowl combine all ingredients except pie crust.

Pour batter into pie crust and bake for 1 hour or until tooth pick comes out clean.

Prepare whipped topping while baking.

In a cold bowl and add heavy cream. Whip until soft peaks form.

Add sugar and vanilla.

Continue to whip until foam is at desired peaks.

Serve pie either warm or chilled.
