Egg & Ham Pockets
These homemade hand pies are a wholesome upgrade from store-bought pockets—made with fresh, quality ingredients and plenty of flavor. Perfect for a quick breakfast on the go or packed into lunchboxes, they’re a hit with kids and adults alike. Serve them warm with your favorite dip—kids especially love them with ketchup!
Ingredients
4 Eggland’s Best eggs, large
1 tbsp milk
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella
Diced ham (to your liking)
1 crescent roll sheet
1 egg for egg wash (optional)
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with milk and salt. Pour into a nonstick skillet and scramble over medium heat until just cooked.
- Stir in cheese and add in sliced ham. Let cool slightly.
- Roll out dough and cut into 6 rectangles
- Spoon egg mixture into the center of each.
- Fold dough over filling and crimp edges with a fork to seal.
- Optional: brush tops with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Let cool slightly before packing or freezing.
