Our hen feed is part of what makes us stand apart from ordinary eggs.*
Our all-vegetarian hen feed is a wholesome blend of healthy grains, corn, soybeans, canola oil, and a premium supplement of rice bran, alfalfa, sea kelp, and Vitamin E. Our hen feed contains no animal fat or by-products and no recycled or processed food. Excluding these ingredients ensures that our feed is nutritionally consistent for the hens and ensures our eggs taste delicious.
We never use hormones, steroids, or antibiotics of any kind in our feed. While hormones and steroid use are not allowed in the production of eggs, antibiotics can be used in other brands. We do not use antibiotics to produce our eggs and rely on excellent flock care and management to prevent hen illness.
Our hen feed also has higher levels of vitamins, minerals, Omega-3s, and other nutrients as compared to ordinary hen feed. Not only do these levels of nutrients benefit the hen in all of the ways that they benefit humans, but the hen is able to put even more nutrients into her eggs, resulting in more delicious, healthier eggs for consumers.
*Ordinary eggs are from hens that are provided the minimum vitamins and minerals to allow the hens to be healthy and produce eggs but do not provide for nutritional enhancement of the egg.
