Ingredients

12 Eggland’s Best eggs

1/3 cup mayonnaise

1 tablespoon yellow mustard

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill

9 dinner rolls, sliced in half

Preparation

  1. Place Eggland’s Best eggs in a pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch.
  2. Bring water to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Once boiling, remove the pot from heat, cover, and let the eggs sit for 9 minutes.
  4. Transfer eggs to an ice bath for 5 minutes to stop the cooking process.
  5. Gently tap each egg on a hard surface and roll to crack the shell all over.
  6. Peel under cool running water for easiest shell removal.

Instructions

  1. Prepare Eggland’s Best eggs using the perfect hard-boiled method above.
  2. Chop the peeled eggs and place them in a medium mixing bowl.
  3. Add mayonnaise, mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, salt, and dill to the bowl.
  4. Gently mix until all ingredients are well combined. For creamier egg salad, mash some of the eggs more finely while leaving others chunkier for texture.
  5. Slice dinner rolls in half horizontally.
  6. Spoon approximately 3 tablespoons of egg salad onto the bottom half of each roll.
