Hot Honey Eggs
These hot honey eggs are crispy, cheesy, sweet, spicy, and packed with flavor. Mozzarella melts into the honey creating a caramelized cheesy crust while the eggs stay soft and jammy in the center. Perfect for an easy high-protein breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2–3 large Eggland's Best eggs
1 teaspoon chili oil
1 tablespoon chopped chives or green onions
Flaky salt, to taste
Preparation
- Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and drizzle the honey directly into the pan.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the honey.
- Crack 2–3 eggs directly on top of the cheese mixture.
- Drizzle chili oil over the eggs.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes or until the cheese becomes crispy and caramelized underneath and the eggs are cooked to your liking.
- Gently fold or lift the eggs to reveal the crispy caramelized cheese base.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chives or green onions and flaky salt before serving.
