Peach Custard Ice Cream

Dairy farms throughout Tennessee provide some of the best cream to use in Ice Cream and sweet southern peaches are a delicious addition!
Ingredients
- 4 Eggland’s Best Eggs (large)
- 4 cups milk
- 2 ¼ cups sugar, divided
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups whipping cream
- 2 cups peaches, peeled and sliced
Preparation
In a large saucepan, combine Eggland’s best eggs, milk, 2 cups of sugar, and salt.
Cook over low heat until the mixture just begins to bubble, stirring constantly.
Cool to room temperature; add cream after mixture cools.
Crush 2 cups of fresh peaches in a medium-size bowl; 1/4 sugar.
Stir into the mixture. Freeze until mixture is thickened.
