Ingredients
1 lb. ground beef
5 Eggland's Best eggs, large
1/2 tbsp chopped chives
1 tsp ground paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp chopped cilantro
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup bread crumbs
1 lb. lettuce
Preparation
- Boil 4 eggs for 6-8 minutes, place them in ice water for 5 minutes, then peel.
- In a bowl, combine the ground beef with chives, paprika, onion & garlic powder, black pepper, and chopped cilantro and mix thoroughly.
- Scramble the last egg, and set aside.
- Coat the peeled egg first in flour. Spread a handful size of the meet mixture in your palm, place the lightly floured egg in the center and form a round ball.
- Lightly coat the ball first in flour, then in egg and lastly in bread crumbs. Deep fry in 360 degree heated oil for 10 minutes. Serve hot on a bed of lettuce.
