Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef

5 Eggland's Best eggs, large

1/2 tbsp chopped chives

1 tsp ground paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp black pepper

1/2 tbsp onion powder

2 tbsp chopped cilantro

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup bread crumbs

1 lb. lettuce

Preparation

  1. Boil 4 eggs for 6-8 minutes, place them in ice water for 5 minutes, then peel.
  2. In a bowl, combine the ground beef with chives, paprika, onion & garlic powder, black pepper, and chopped cilantro and mix thoroughly.
  3. Scramble the last egg, and set aside.
  4. Coat the peeled egg first in flour. Spread a handful size of the meet mixture in your palm, place the lightly floured egg in the center and form a round ball.
  5. Lightly coat the ball first in flour, then in egg and lastly in bread crumbs. Deep fry in 360 degree heated oil for 10 minutes. Serve hot on a bed of lettuce.
