Fall is not over until you've had these Maple Glazed Cinnamon Apple Fritters! Trust me I know it's a handful to say but it's not a handful to make at all, they're so easy and simple to whip up! Perfect with a cup of coffee or just as it, these can be stored in an air-tight container for up to 5 days, if they aren't all eaten right away!

Make This Recipe

Ingredients

Fritters:

1½ cups all-purpose flour

2 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. ground cinnamon

½ tsp. ground nutmeg

½ tsp. salt

3 tbsp. melted butter

½ cup milk

2 Eggland's Best eggs, large

1 apple, diced

Maple Glaze:

1½ cups powdered sugar

2 tbsp. maple syrup

2 tsp. vanilla extract

3 tbsp. milk

Preparation

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  2. Add the melted butter, cup milk, and eggs. Mix until you have a thick pancake batter-like consistency. If the batter feels too thick, add 1/4 cup milk to thin.
  3. Fold in the apples.
  4. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Drop tablespoons size balls of batter into the oil for 4-5 minutes or until golden and crisp on all sides. Remove and drain on a wire rack with paper towels underneath.
  6. For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, maple, and vanilla.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the warm fritters.
  8. Eat warm and enjoy!
