Ingredients

1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1/2 cup sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup ground walnuts

1 cup chopped walnuts

1/2 cup powdered sugar, plus more for serving

1 cup of Eggland's Best 100% Egg Whites

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F
  2. Gather all ingredients and beat them in an electric mixer.
  3. Beat in the flour, and then the ground and chopped walnuts.
  4. Divide the dough in half, forming each half into a ball.
  5. Wrap separately in plastic and chill until cold, about 30 minutes.
  6. Arrange the balls on a large baking sheet, spacing them 1/2-inch apart.
  7. Bake in the oven for 18 mins.
